According to this report from Appleinsider Apple is getting ready to release a Dual Quad-Core Xeon Mac Pro. I’m not sure if there is a need for eight processors in the home computer, but it sure will make ripping your cd’s to mp3 quicker.

This is just to cool. It’s a optical illusion I won’t tell you what happens because after knowing the illusion it doesn’t work as well, actually it still work but you tell yourself it can’t work and it disappears. And it’s not one of those stupid stare at this and then a face pops out to scare you.

I have been looking for a small light weight practice amp, something that’s easy to carry. I looked at line 6, Roland and Vox, all sound decent and fit the bill. But then saw that Peavey has a new 5 watt tube amp coming out, and being a old school player in my mind tube amps are the way to go. And believe me a 5 watt tube amp can drive a 4-12 cab and hold it’s own even playing in a small bar. Not that it would ever play out.

Well back to my story. Peavey has been advertising in the trade mags and on their sites front page but I can find no other info about it other then the picture, and that it coming soon. My local shop won’t even take a pre-order because they know nothing about it…

I guess it will end up on my things to buy list with my 12″ macbook pro and my apple cell phone.

Well the iphone was introduced to the public today and to many peoples surprise it isn’t from apple. And it’s a VoIP phone not a cell phone. It will work with any wireless G network. Read more here.

Well this is where those old movies go to get a face lift and digitized to be put on DVD. The work is being done on these 700 Apple Mac G5’s. The building that houses these G5’s is in Burbank Calif. I bet that cluster could run imove pretty well.

Yes that’s 100 Gbyte 1.8 inch hard drive. It spins at 4200rpm and my guess is, it will be in the next ipod.

I saw this on youtube it shows the cast of Family Guy recording there voice overs. I always find that it just doesn’t seem like those voices are coming from these people. It’s like you almost expect to see a human Peter Griffin.

IBM is working on a new memory technology “of course that is what they do” called Phase Change Memory. It is supposed to be 500 times faster then currant flash memory and in a smaller package. It could someday replace hard drives. I think we’ll probably see it in ipods, phones and portable storage, way before replacing hard drives.

Well I’m doing two things with this post. First I wanted to see if I could make picture links, if you click on the mythbusters picture you’ll see it works fine.

And second I wanted to share the youtube video of the mythbusters Rube Goldberg machine.

I’m a ipod shuffle owner, the new one. I like it but in order to sync it you need to have the dock. This is not a problem but who wants to carry the dock with them. Well I found this cool mini dock that is just a 1/8″ pod plug to usb. You still have to carry it but instead of having the cord get tangled and worried about breaking it you now just have to worry about losing it “it’s very small”. Get it here
